The Shipibo-Conibo are one of the first peoples on Earth to live in relation with the forest. The Koman Kenia lake is their place of origin. It is situated in the Peruvian Rainforest. The lake holds their memory, the key to understand their mythology.

The story tells the land flew away in Koman Kenia. In place of the land, the enchanted lake of Koman Kenia appeared.
But today the illegal loggers and fishers have destroy part of the lake. The remains of wood blocked the path to the lake for almost two years. The Shipibo-Conibo do their best to protect their land. On June 2017, with the help of NGO Kapé, they cleaned the path to the lake and builded an outpost to be present all times and to keep the illegals loggers out.
