Ausangate is one of the most important mountains in the Peruvian Andes with an elevation of 6,384 meters. This mountain has significance in Incan mythology. Ausangate is also called Apu Ausangate or father Ausangate. The wise Quechua people -or Altomasayoc- say they can speak with the Apu. As a photographer, my intention here is to represent Ausangate as a person. I asked Julian, who lives at the foot of the mountain, to be the represent of Aungante. As soon as I explain my intention, he agreed for a portrait.
